FAKTMAP is a free community-driven interactive world map of facts. Anyone can pin a short fact to any real-world location and share it with the whole world. The map works without an account: just open it and start exploring facts, memes, history, geography, drama and true stories pinned to real places in real time.
Choose a location on the map or use your current GPS position, write your fact (up to 500 characters), pick a marker color from eight base colors or the custom color picker, and choose a category tag: MEMES, HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, DRAMA, SHITPOST, TRUE STORY, DISCUSS, LOCAL TIPS, REVIEW or OTHER. Your fact appears on the map instantly and is visible to every visitor.
Every fact can be rated with likes, dislikes and wow reactions. Readers can leave comments, report content that breaks the rules, and share any fact as a 3:4 image card (Faktcard) or as a direct link to the map.
Every fact is automatically screened by AI moderation before it becomes public. Content flagged as inappropriate is hidden from the public map and kept for review, keeping FAKTMAP a safe and respectful community space.
An account is optional. Registration takes seconds: a username of 3 to 32 characters (latin letters, digits and underscore), a password of at least 8 characters and a one-emoji avatar. Registered users keep a balance of Faktmap Coin, the site's internal currency, and can transfer from 1 to 1,000,000 coins to other users. FAKTMAP never asks for an email address.
Collections let you combine any facts from the map into a curated sequence and tell a story step by step. A collection holds up to 50 facts and comes in two types: a list, a simple ordered set of facts, and a route, where an animated line connects the facts on the map in order. Between facts you can write short transition texts (up to 300 characters) that guide the reader from one fact to the next. Every collection is published with a shareable link that opens a step-by-step viewer with like and dislike voting. In the viewer each step shows one fact with its tooltip; route collections draw the line from fact to fact as you progress, and at the finish all facts are connected by a complete line with every tooltip visible — hover a marker on desktop or tap it on mobile to read it again. Collections can be created, shared and viewed on both desktop and mobile, even without an account.
Every fact on FAKTMAP carries one of ten category tags, and the map can be filtered by any of them. MEMES is for jokes and internet humor. HISTORY is for historical events and little-known facts about the past. GEOGRAPHY is for interesting places, borders and natural wonders. DRAMA is for dramatic events and stories. SHITPOST is for absurd, random and chaotic content. TRUE STORY is for personal stories that actually happened. DISCUSS is for replies to other people's facts, discussions, arguments and meta-comments. LOCAL TIPS is for advice and hacks from people who know the place well. REVIEW is for ratings and reviews of places, from restaurants to viewpoints. OTHER is for everything that fits nowhere else.
A collection title can be up to 120 characters and a description up to 500 characters. Creators can edit or delete their collections at any time. Voting is open to everyone, even without an account, and clicking a vote button again removes the vote. A shareable link of the form faktmap.site/#collection=ID opens the collection viewer directly — the reader can like or dislike the collection, restart it from the beginning, and copy the link to share it with friends. Collections can be created with or without an account: registered creators are shown with their @username, anonymous collections are shown as created by @anonymous.
Any fact on the map can be turned into a Faktcard — a 3:4 image card with the fact text, category tag and location. Faktcards can be shared directly, saved as a picture, or the fact can be copied as a link.
FAKTMAP has a built-in feedback form in the Settings menu. Users can report a bug, share an idea, ask a question or send any other message to the developers — no account required.
